Ola Electric has launched Ola S1 electric scooter on 15 August 2021. This scooter has many interesting features and is available in 10 stunning colour options. The scooter is available in two variants- Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro at Rs 99,999 and Rs 129,999 (both prices ex-showroom, India).
Ola S1 Design
The Ola S1 has the best design. It is available in 10 stunning colours in satin, matte and glossy finishes.The Ola S1 too comes with iconic twin headlamps, and superior alloy wheels, sculpted seating. The Ola S1 too has the largest boot space that fits two helmets comfortably.
Ola S1 Performance
Ola S1 performance sets a new benchmark in the industry with a range of 181 Kms, a speed of 0-40 kmph in 3.0 seconds, and a top speed of 115 kmph. The battery capacity of the Ola S1 is 3.97kWh which is 30% more than the nearest EV next, with the most powerful motor in the upper power category of 8.5 KW. The Ola S1 also comes with a Battery Management System (BMS) that closely monitors the battery for good durability, performance, distance and safety.
Ola S1 Technology Used
The Ola S1 brings technology that is several generations ahead of anything on the market. There is no physical key and pairs with your phone with its “digital key” feature. The Ola S1 enables it to know when you’re near it and unlock automatically. It locks itself as you move away. The Ola S1 has a multi-microphone array, AI speech recognition algorithms that have been built in-house, and the sharpest, brightest 7-inch touchscreen display ever put in a scooter.
Ola S1 Safety features
The Ola S1 has introduced safety features which are rare in the two wheeler segment. It has an anti theft alert system, geo fencing, and a battery which is flame retardant and water & dust resistant. It too has front and rear disc brakes and ‘Hill Hold’ feature which makes riding in traffic and navigating inclines easy.
Ola S1 Price In India
The Ola S1 has also solved one of the biggest challenges in the EV sector in India that is the price. Ola S1 comes at a price of Rs 99,999,this price is ex-showroom including FAME II subsidy and excludes state subsidies.
The Ola S1 will be available at a much more affordable price than many petrol scooters. For example, after state subsidy in Delhi, the S1 would cost just Rs 85,099 whereas in Gujarat it would be only Rs 79,999. We will also help the buyers by providing them with EMI that is we have tied up with banks and financial institutes for an EMI plan starting at Rs 2,999 only.
