Genesis GV60: Price in India, Mileage, Top Speed, Specs

The Hyundai luxury brand the Genesis has unveiled the GV60 as its first EV based on the E-GMP platform, vowing to offer a “totally new experience” to the customer in the premium market. The brand is shaping up to offer a technology first, that will be one of the first global-market EVs with original-equipment wireless charging.

The vehicle is featured with an 800V electrical architecture, 350kW ultra-rapid charging, and a host which can, both single- and dual-motor powertrains with a range of battery sizes.

Genesis GV60 Exterior details

The Genesis GV60 has an SUV-coupe side profile, with clean bodywork enabled by pop-out door handles and video cameras in place of wing mirrors. The vehicle brings a new evolution of Genesis’ design language, with the ‘Two Lines’ lights at both sides of a flush front end that features a revamped version of the firm’s logo. The lower portion of the front features a large grille that Genesis says is intended to both emphasize dynamic performance and add cooling of the high-voltage battery. There is also a single-panel ‘clamshell’ bonnet. The rear of the car has a fixed wing at the tail end of the coupé-like roofline. 

Genesis GV60 Interior details

In the interior details ,there is a twin-screen digital display that dominates the dashboard, while a large central console houses both storage space and key vehicle controls, similar to the Ioniq 5 and EV6. The vehicle has an automatic transmission controlled by a ‘Crystal Sphere’, which Genesis says also features built-in mood lights that illuminate when the car is turned off. The images of the cabin released by Genesis also show an unusual blue colour scheme.

Genesis GV60 Powertrain details

The powertrain details of the Genesis have not been disclosed. The technical details for the GV60, will likely be closely matched to the Ioniq 5 and EV6 that is it could be offered with both, 58kWh and 77.8kWh batteries,or with the larger-capacity option offering a range of more than 480km. 

The Single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model is likely to be offered with 169hp and 217hp, while a twin-motor, four-wheel-drive model will offer 305hp.

Genesis GV60 Launch plans in India

It seems that Genesis was looking to enter the Indian market, with the first model set to be an SUV, the brand now has two SUVs on sale in the global market Presently there has been no official word from Hyundai since then on introducing the Genesis brand in India.If the brand gets lunch in India it will for sure create a good market as it has such exciting features.
